Soliloquy (Pain), John Strieder (3D)

Title: Soliloquy (Pain)
Name: John Strieder
Country: Germany
Software: CINEMA 4D, Fryrender, ZBrush

Hi there, this is my newest piece, it's called "Soliloquy".
Basemesh done in C4D, sculpting and texturing in ZBrush and Bodypaint, rendering and material creation in fryrender. No postwork except some subtle grain, chrom. ab. and color degeneration.

what would you say about fry render over other render programs. I am an avid Maya user and have thought about testing it out. How is the learning curve.

That's hard to tell. For me it was the easiest thing to learn fryrender. But for those whose world consists of Phong-Shading, Omni-Lights and the size of a round specular, it might a bit difficult to replace such fakes with real world-values in their mind
