The Crash, Jean-Baptiste Verdier (3D)

Title: The Crash
Name: Jean-Baptiste Verdier
Country: France
Software: 3ds max, After Effects, mental ray, Mudbox, Photoshop

The cliff was sculpted in Mudbox and then imported in 3dsmax for animating and rendering with Mental Ray Sun & Sky.
Snow was added in After Effects thanks to its great particle system.

I created an animated version of the shot, it should be soon available on my new portfolio!

Animated Shot

Hi All!

Thanks for your kind comments, here is the link to see the animated shot.
Everything was done with mudbox and 3ds. No Vue for this shot, but the next one will probably use it

If you have ideas of shots, don't hesitate to tell me!

Awesome image!

To bring the anorak out in me, would that be an A380 by any chance?

Nice job man.
As someone above mentioned, great atmosphere.
It looks like a grab of some of the Hollywood movies, really nice scene!

Keep up the good job JB!

this is probably your best here on cgtalk so far. i can't see a flaw here. you could easily use that in a movie.
