Hi david.

Firstly, I have to say its a fine piece of work. The stone floor texture is very good & the charcter does look as fearsome & true to the comic. A minor critic would be a slighly lack of details on the leg & feet.

I have actually looked into your portfolio & you have some stunning work. I especially like your 2D work.

This artwork, however doesn't feel as captivating as your other 2D works. The one thing I admired about 2D artists here is that alot of them ( & you of course) are able to capture the mood, feel of their ideas, & translate them to captivating, & artistic work of art, with great expression.

Maybe due to the technical contraint of 3D like the confinement of geometry & lighting, 3D artists have less freedom in terms of expression.

Without being portray as bias or sour grape, (as I work mainly on 3D). I feel that alot of artists just as talented & skillful as our 2D fellow artists. However, there too much focus on technical aspect of the art like realistic skin, high defination skin with mircoscopic level of vines, wrinkles & pores, & realistic shaders.

In the end, we have alot of excellence (technical & artistic works) in the 3D gallery, but not as much "expressive" work as the 2D gallery work. Also, there is less "personal style" artworks as 2D ones.

make no mistake, I am as awe & inspired as the others when I see a photolike image from a fellow artist, but I may not put them up as my wallpaper as much as an expressive work of art. But it may just be me.

For someone that is good in both 3D as 2D, what is your opinion?

Whats the thoughts from fellow CG artists?

Thumbs up That's tough!

MASSIVE fan of DBZ! Love this piece!

If only they got a bunch of people with your talent to make an animated film instead of that bit of rubbish they made not long ago.

Keep up the great work!

Thought I should balance out the DBZ fanism with the statement that I find everything relating to DBZ disgusting, but your work here is very good, and I actually find myself saying that maybe I have found the only piece of DBZ artwork on the planet that hasn't made me want to immediately burn it.

So great job
