I agree that the detail and capturing a moment is phenomenal. I don't buy into the lift system of the vehicle, mainly b/c you have a prop and jet thrust working against each other. I love the torn up chute.

Made my day seeing this.

Thank you!

Uh Artistically I think it's pretty good work I like the composition. But, that being said it doesn't look like the vehicle had much thought put into it.

There is nothing to create lift but yet it appears to be hovering??? The props should be at the top of the engines this configuration would simply rip apart. Even if somehow the strength of the structure was strong enough to hold together. All of you engines are heading out from the center and partially down. The result would produce negative lift and the vessel would fall at a rate exceeding gravity alone. but in all likely hood 2-3 engines would break free leaving the rest to fall like a rock.

Quite true, that's why I made on computer and not in my garden
I'm not really an engineer, but I would rather creative

hmm ok well perhaps you should here what Feng Zhu "prolly the greatest concept artist and creatives of our day" has to say on the subject.

http://media.fxguide.com/fxguidetv/fxguidetv-ep060.m4v

To summarize you need to put some thought into things. Do research. That have to look like they could really exist and function in some plausible way.

You a good artist. research and logic will make you a Great artist!

I agree with you, somehow.
it is obvious that my "widget" will never fly and it was not really the goal of imagining as practicable.
I'd say it's a matter of "angle of attack"
If my goal was to make it credible, I would have probably taken a different path
Dreaming allows me to fly a whale

Much like Miyazaki (which I could not compare myself of course) and his Howl's Moving Castle, it brings another dimension.

No no this is not to excuse my ignorance in the aviation field :-p
However thank you for the report of Feng Zhu I appreciate the talent

Not only you are showing off your artistic skills, but you are telling a story at the same time which is even more admirable.
Great work!

this is one of the best works i've seen this year done in Lw ! excellent stuff.
I dig the illustrative look of final image.
Is there a massive photoshop use to obtain this look? You should do a tutorial of some sort.
