Namibia Quartz Mountain Plain, Frank Basinski (3D)

Title: Namibia Quartz Mountain Plain
Name: Frank Basinski
Country: Germany

Hi, this image was rendered in Terragen 2. The terrain is a generated heightfield, the plants are xfrog.
The stones and gravel are entirely procedural, apart from the color texture. The scene is based on the plains near Spitzkoppe, Namibia, close to the quartz mountains, and inspired by a calendar shot from photographer Horst Klemm.

Please take the time and leave a comment and share your thoughts :-)
