Great work! I love the old man who looks like hes saying "ooooooooooooooo" haha.

You should participate in the hardcore modeling challenge going on now, 15 facial expressions!

Wow! Thanks for all the great support! I'll get back to individual comments but I wanted to share a few more images first.

I meant to record at least one of these sculpts because of a request, but forgot to hit the record button. So, instead I made an animated gif of my saves... I know it's not the same so I'll have to sit down one of these days and make an actual movie.

Here is a wireframe of all the levels as well:

I'm not sure if these are of any use to anyone but there they are if you like.

Hey Martin, thank you for the plug! Much appreciated. We did move to Seattle last year, and I'm starting at Microsoft Game Studios (through Filter Talent) on Monday. I took the year off to hang out, take art classes at the Gage Academy and sculpt away in my home studio.

Foxco, I didn't even notice the hardcore challenge. Sounds cool, I might have to give it a go if I have time with the new job.

GinoLatino, as you can see I used a pretty simple basemesh (the same one was used for each bust). I had used an even simpler base before (absolutely no features) but since major features like the eyes, nose, mouth and ears are always present on a head I added them to my current basemesh.

The one on the left is what I used to use, and my current basemesh:

Nice work! Congrats on the front page.
It’s always good to seeing a making-of breakdown. Thanks for showing the gif and mesh shots.
