Akira - The Legend Comes Alive Poster, Harrell Erik Wong (3D)

Title: Akira - The Legend Comes Alive Poster
Name: Harrell Erik Wong
Country: Malaysia
Software: 3ds max, mental ray

Thank You for all the comments. I promised I will improve it when I have time. Now I amended these renderings added with dirt and scratches on the scene so that it closer to the feel of "AKIRA". I also posted the main character "Kaneda" as requested

This is my 1st CG character and it's one of my favourite character instead.
But so sorry, still in WIP, only 70% done at the moment... I'm still learning to build a nice character....I know this is not good, but I will enhance with the "hair/fur" later. I studied quite often from the book "Advent Children - the making". I like it very much especially the way that they created "Cloud". Very cool hero looks. They did very good job in the overall...one of the best CG film I've ever seen! After watching the film, I get inspired and started doing my 1st "AKIRA"!

Meanwhile, please give me more comments no matter good or bad so that I can do it better, I'll improve the character in any way especially the hair by adding more realism into it so that it will looks real and stunning. Any comments are welcome!

The bike is awsome but I think that everything is too clean and shiny.

Awesome work man! Really like your image, and I only have 1 but... and that is that I would rather be seing the front of Kaneda, but I guess the character would have to be really "spot-on" or the ilusion would be partially lost. 4* work anyhow.

it`s a good image but i don`t like the fact that everything is perfectly clean... and you can do some post by adding a DoF effect to make the ground texture look good (it looks kinda low res )

keep up the good work

Thanks for the comments! Definitely there are rooms to improve it, if I have time I will but I did this Akira 3D since 2 years ago. Now only I have time to post it. Sorry for those "hardcore fans of Akira". I hope you guys can enjoy it and can recall back some of the great moments in the globally known comic & manga anime of "AKIRA".

I'm sorry I didn't post details on Kaneda yet.... If you guys want to see more about Kaneda, his bike and the scene behind, I will post it soon. However I also posted another 3 posters at the link below. Maybe you can find more dirts on the side view of the bike in poster 3

For me, AKira is still the best Manga Animation I've ever seen. As I know, the movie version of Akira will be out on 2009, but I don't know whether it's true or not.....and I've been waiting these great moment for long long time....
