Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Highway, Stanislav Klabik (3D)

Title: Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Highway
Name: Stanislav Klabik
Country: Czech Republic
Software: 3ds max, mental ray, Mudbox, Photoshop, VRay

Hi,

"Gunny" Tom Highway portrayed by Clint Eastwood in Heartbrake Ridge is a pretty hard drill instructor of Marine Corps and former war veteran awarded with Medal of Honor.
He is completely trained in 3dsmax and skilled in Mental Ray. The quarters for his scout platoon full of pussies who donīt know nothing about how to be a hard marine is completely built in Vray, final skills of this GySgt. were added in Photoshop. I began his train a few months ago when I made his head for fun, but this time I had enough free time to finish the drill of this hard marine.

It is not good to iritate him because he is always ready to kick some ass, so I should stop beginning to bore the hell out of him, say enjoy and hope you like him.

Semper Fi !

he looks like clint eastwood, hes not dead on tho. But amazing render, very realistic and nice use of dof. I like the look on his face; not someone to mess with. this is 5 star work to me.

That's just awesome! Doesn't look like Clint that much, but its an amazing sculpt nonetheless. Fantastic modelling and background too. How did you create that film grain look?

Amazing work!! Itīs from a cool movie too... Mental Ray for the character and Vray for the interior, thatīs an interesting approach. Keep it up.

A very good render. But in your wires, why have the windows such a high poly count?

Excellent work! 5 stars for me! Can you share the technique of rendering-compositing 2 different renderers?
