This is the Caterham Superlight R500. The actual version of a British Classic. Is done with XSI, rendered with Mental Ray.

Traditonal ilumination, with area lights. Carpaint shader used for the bodywork. Beauty pass composed by Ambient + Diffuse passes.

Excellent representation of a true classic.

Something doesn't look right with the colour though, yellow always is difficult but where it gets darker it looks too orange, not brown enough, maybe it's just my monitor ?

Emilio,

Fabulous render of the R500. If you want to get it spot on, I think that the tyre type is "Avon ACB10". There's a picture of them on this web site
