A 3d Study From Rubens, Anand P. Gopinath (3D)

Title: A 3d Study From Rubens
Name: Anand P. Gopinath
Country: India
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop, ZBrush

This piece was inspired by a painting by Peter Paul Rubens. It just started as a study last November and then gradually developed into a serious work. Maya was used to make the basic mesh and for shading and rendering.. Sculpting was done in Mudbox and ZBrush. Composited in Photoshop. The background is a photograph. My sincere thanks to RebeccaK and all my other friends in the "Artistic Anatomy and Figurative Art" forum. I wouldn't even have thought of doing this if it wasn't for them... and thanks to all who gave me valuable suggestions and encouragement in the WIP thread.

you have done a great job man! the model look very dynamic and lively to me. But I wonder why you need to switch between mudbox and zbrush? is there any reason for using 2 software together instead of just one? Just curious.

5 stars and keep up the great work!

Fantastic, you clearly put a lot of time and effort into this. Anatomy is great! I think you might have been better off with no background though actually, it kind of distracts me from your fantastic work!
