yeah! first post...

Great work. I especially like the goatee, it came out very realistic. The cloth came out well too. Good bump map.

Thumbs up Bellissimo!!

Veramente bello! Ho visto il resto dei tuoi lavori sul tuo sito uno meglio dell'altro, cose conosciute poi, non si vedono molti lavori in giro come i tuoi, molto realistici. Complimenti!

The hessian cloth texture is lovely and clever (although it doesn't work so well on the cape part where it's true nature comes through). The overall composition, pose and image though is a tad too "slick" and generic.

The skin texture could really do with some work, it looks like a dead poser figure (and not just because of the modeling). Right now he looks like he's made of plastic. He needs a little more SSS and a little more detail and tone. Also you should do something about the specular as that's not helping the skin at all, it's too wide and too prominent. The lighting overall is good, however it looks unatural on the lips, somehow that looks like it should be more in softer shadow there on the bottom lip. The 2d postwork beneath his chin shows up badly, it would be better to use a subtle gradient blur there rather than smudging and smearing and normal photoshop brushes, alternatively if you didnt' want that there then just texture his skin there with matte black, no color so that no light can shine on it. Some of the lighting on the face seems to have been enhanced in post on the right hand side (it looks like), either that or the texture really does loose contrast there. You might want to give a bit of a detail boost there (or reduce the detail on the cheek area) to maintain consistency.

can't agree with this one. sometime a picture does not need more as you show on yours. i love the idea. think the pose is great because it concentrates on the eyes and the " dark" expression of the character as well.
..there is only one blury spot underneath the chin that i do not understand.
great job Silvia

wow, fanboy alert

Have to say that the fabric looks great untill it hits the shoulders, then it just looks.. odd?

anyhow i have to agree with per that the pose looks pretty "slick and generic", and the skin thats visible has a very.. plastic feel to it for me, otherwise the lighting is good.
