Stop! Please Stop! This is... , This is insane. Surely the most detailed model I've seen.

Have some pitty on us

5 stars

Some people have misconceptions...

This stands beautifully on it's own as a work of personal art. It does not have to be animated, rigged or even textured. Great job.

Ziv - on his site are various different pieces of the model, most of them between 5-10 million polys. Maybe he just seperated and rendered in layers, just like you did for the tower of babel. Lots of layers. Lots.

Awesome.
The render itself on the first page looks incredible, but your WIP images TOTALLY blew me of my chair.
Utterly unbelievable.

Mad work!!

My only real problem is that it's really hard to focus on any one area.... there's just way too much happening here. The detail is really impressive, but also quite overbearing. The high contrast lighting also doesn't really help. It just tends to white out everything...

Don't get me wrong I think this is a lovely piece of work, very impressive in its ammount of detail and intesity.

I probably woulda gone nuts and killed myself several times over if I had to model that amount of detail

Wow. so pointy. very pointy! so many sharp edges im afraid to look directly at it.
Now I would like to see you texture it.

go on, start texturing.

Beautiful work. I do however agree that a little less intense lighting scenario would make it a little easier to look at. I dunno, maybe it would ruin the effect you were after.

kudos for getting Max to handle 100 million polys(never thought it was possible)

the image though is just too chaotic to be pleasing on the eyes..there's nothing to focus on..no story being told, the detail has drowned the image..it's just..polymadness,lol

well done on the front page plug!

Cheers

Thumbs up

The amount of detail is just awesome. Nice job.

I like it as a concept but to be honest, the lighting is so bad you see nothing from the first shot. It doesn't do it justice. Better work on some texturing and lighting to make all the forms better distinguishable. 4 stars from me. It would get 5 if it was delivered better though.
