I agree somewhat about the background not being as good as the car, but the contrast of the wall and the car is kind of important to show off the car's newness and slickness. So something similar is needed back there for contrast.
Might be cool to add some depth-of-field effects for the close-up shots to establish that this is a car with real world scale (and shot with a camera instead of rendered). Some people might think DOF is too overdone but I like it when it's done right (only used for extreme closeup shots or macro shots where DOF is supposed to exist).
I have no idea how MR for Maya handles DOF. Probably very slowly.
Also, those car paint shaders are nice. I don't often see that coming from Maya so it's nice to see it here.

thanks for answering my questions
what i meant with the door is i thought it opened lamborghini gallardo style with it nescessary to have 45 degree angles looking at the door line from the top view to stop it jamming, but im glad you cleared that up.
just two more questions, what speed would you plan for it to go and who is the target market?

You did it again! Awesome Car & Rendering.
The car is very well designed, it looks like one piece. Very nice flow of curves and details.. very nice thought out. Personally, I think, the tyres are a little bit too thin, though, because the rest of the car is a little bit more "cartoonish", rounder.
What I really love, is the gradient in the orange.. looks soooo smooth.
Maybe the car is a bit too broad for a one seater, ..
Keep it up!
