Cannon Girl, Zhimin Wang (3D)

Title: Cannon Girl
Name: Zhimin Wang
Country: Canada
Software: Photoshop, SOFTIMAGE|XSI

Ok, thanks to anyone who reads this, if there is any :-)
After putting so much time and work, all I get is this piece of “crab” (Since it does look like crab, I should have called it Cannon Crab, instead of Cannon Girl.) I think I’d better go back to 2D forum, but for now, please say anything you want.
Sorry for the Lorum Ipsum at the top, I was too lazy to write up a description for it, but I will eventually do so.
Photoshop was only used when creating some textures and making the layout. I did this piece mainly to find out how to use texture editor in XSI, so any suggestion on the texture will be great, other crits will always be welcome.
Thanks

Wow! I love the flashlight-thingy on top of it. Nice modeling style.

NIce texturing! I really want to see some other angles of this machine! I like the orthographic views you have of it as well, lets see some more!

I like the contrast between the rough pieces's texture and and smooth pieces. Rendering is great too!

Looks like someone else also identified it as the mech from Ghost in the Shell... did you have that in mind when you designed it?

Good render, I really like the top and side wire views at the top of the image.

nice

WoW, this looks great, nice design.
I don't think it looks like anything in Ghost in the shell, maybe I am out of date, lol
I don't know XSI at all so I can't give you any suggestions on the texturing, but anyways, 5 star from me.

a nice modelling job here. i wished there were a better lighting to create a bit more contrast. also a more kind of used texture look would be cool. maybe a taste thing. still solid 3d job here. well done.

Very nice! I love the rugged surface, overall design and structure. I'd love to see some close-ups of the details. 5 stars from me!

Can you post a rotate animation? I would like to see all angles.

Looks really impressive. I really like that style, thought for photorealistic, it might need more scruff and dirt. Very fun to look at though!
