I don't like the comp. The perspective and the harsh shadows don't look very real to me.

Nevertheless, it's a nice comp

I just don't understand why it made it on the frontpage...?

Nevermind... from me

I couldn`t recognize which part is a photo and which is modeled before I read the comment. "Your first picture to achieve realism"... Uhm... Your requirements to yourself are skyhigh. The only problem is a very small ID table at the front of the car, but it`s a matter of customs... Maybe you had such ones some time ago. Five points, of course. Hope to see your next works.

Thumbs up

Really like it. I love the texture of the car, reminds me of Robots (the movie). the shadow underneath the car doesn't feel completely right, but i cant put my finger on what exactly...
overall, very very nice!

Superb!

Nice atmosphere, cool to see an old used car instead of a red racecar!

Because it's one of the best pieces of the last days if not the best one, because it's not the usual clean car in the middle of nowhere and because i decided i wanted it to be on the front page. Also remember the front page doesn't correspond to an award or anything like that, the cgchoice gallery is a different thing. The front page is meant to display the best images of the (recent) day(s). I hope this "fashion" of questioning the front page stops, it's rather insulting towards the artists. Thanks for your collaboration.

I think the model is nicely rendered, but I think that the shadows are off like the two post before. The car shadows currently do not follow the shadow line on the barn. Given that there is only the sun lighting the scene, they should be consistent. This is why it rings off. Should be easy to fix though. Great job!

i would have dulled the paint down. make it seem like it has been inthe sun and the sun burned of the glossy revlectiveness of the paint completely or at least on the roof and hood and that shadow for it is pretty hard.

anyways great job.
