I think my favorite part about this thread are the people who have posted comments like "the skin texture makes her look old" etc.

Guess they were too distracted by the girl in the swim-suit to read the explaination for the piece.

Very nice, but something doesn't look right with the face/head. Seems like the face is distorted/stretched. Her face looks enormous compared to the size of her head. Perhaps it's just the way the head is tilted, but it still stands out to me.

Question Barbie?

Often,CgWomen look like Barbie. It's cool, but what about doing something different?
I'm confused... what about this picture is different from normal "Barbie" pictures? That she's not carrying a sword? That she's only a B-cup? That she has less fat on her body than Barbie?

Just trying to see where you're coming from here.
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

I love your model

As a student in school and a young artist hoping to get to these levels of artistry, I do respect your work, this female figure feels very natural to me. I also agree with the fact that every CG woman I have seen has VERY often looked like "barbie". Imperfection is vastly important for realism in my humble opinion.

I have not designed a supposed character with the fancy SSS or Micro-bumping, but after seeing this piece of work it is a great inspiration to design a character who is imperfect. The skin is fine, and the specular glow on her left breast, I am paying no mind to it...

Great Work

very good work stuzzi !! and congrat for your frontpage

I agree with you (about sss bla bla ...)

autrement j'aime beaucoup le rendu surtout la version sharpen je regrette juste de ne plus avoir le regard que tu avais trouvé sur un rendu en shade WIP , ca reste du beau boulot quand meme

I really like your realism stylization. the barbie perfect look is getting old in my book. Keep up the good work.

I love the way the imperfection give an interessant look to the World in CG.We could call it detail...Not neccesarly photorealistic but credible at least.Beyond the teknik aspect,SSS and bla bla bla,the challenge here,is to express a feeling through her posture, expression or something else more subtle...,sensuality?

Your modelling work is beautiful! Fantastic work. I couldn't help but to ask you to elaborate on your description, however...

You're expressing "something" through posture and expression for something else more subtle? Sensuality? Are you honestly serious? Isn't she seductivly stripping her clothes off? She's in a pose that's making eye contact, showing her public line, and obviously inviting sex. She's pulling down her panties. How is this different from the typical CG "barbie" modeling exercises? This piece, regardless of how brilliantly executed, is a wack-off woman-as-sex-object. Am I right? It's an amazing model, but play the cards where they lay. You can communicate "sensuality" without bikinis and tan-lines. You even posted a WIP close up of her "camel toe" as someone said... Ha. How sensual. I hope you agree.

Amazing, amazing work, I can't emphasize that enough. Didn't want to start an argument -- just bringing up a point.
