Wow nice work Did you model him off a real person? Because he looks oddly familiar.

Is the shirt CG too? It looks like a photo...

Lovely ZBrush work! I'm seeing more and more impressive stuff being done with it... it's very inspiring

Hate to say it, but he has a very oddly proportioned and misshaped head. Needs some re-work imo. Nice photo comp though.

This appears to be somewhat of a front-projection mapping technique to me - essentially taking a photograph and approximating the geometry to match the photograph. A great technique for still images and for 2.5 D images. Nice to see it done with Zbrush ... although this technique of reverse-engineering (photogrammetry) has been around quite a while...

Nice compositing, and brilliant work for 7 hours.

But the whole thing just looks odd to me. Like the skin of his face and the skin on his body don't match(which is from a photo).

But more importantly is the modeling, that z brushed head looks really lumpy and the ears are inhuman.

I love the shirt shader if it's 3d. If you got some link for the shader please let us know.
If not, it would be great if you can post it here.

It looks like you composite the face with the actual photo of the person. Am I right?

Regardless of the techniques used , or not used, it still is an amzing image. Or were we trying to do something else with 2/3d? The final outcome is what matters. I feel for this composited image, it looks correct at the angle that it is in. I do agree with others: some tweaks would help the head, esp if seen in diff views. I think that the ears are in the right spot, yet his neck is so massive, that they look too forward- I guess creative license wins over anatomically correctiveness...

I am blown away by this kind of work; Zbrush is an amazing program!!! Just wish I had the time to mess with it...
