So What..., Peter Sanitra (3D)

Title: So What...
Name: Peter Sanitra
Country: Slovakia
Software: ZBrush

Using my usual technique I started the modeling with zbrush z-speheres, but the converted to poly and subdivine while adding detail in each level.I use projection master for texturing and reference photos too. Started with basis 4 layer shader I tweak speculars to achieve wet look effect.Final composition done in Photoshop.
All done in 7 hours.
wires included

Have you changed the image without posting a new one???
Now light falls much better on the face, but it seems that face is divided into 2 parts.
The change among lighted part and dark part of face is too brutal, it shuold be more blurred

Thumbs up

Woooooow!

This is one of the best CG character I´ve ever seen. Very good modelling, great skin and shirt, pretty good lighting...

But the best for me: he´s alive... what a strength in his attitude! (his glance, his pose). He´s almost intimidating me.

The only things to crit is the bad mesh topology of the face in order to be animated and the profile shows a wrong proportion of the cranium (the ears are right respect the face, but too far from the nape).

I´m sure this render is going to be on frontpage tomorrow.

(Of course, five stars from me).

Good job. Very nice render. Nice textures, and the expression of his face is done well. Only the ears on the side view are disturbing, they should be further from his face. And i love that t-shirt. It's photoreal. To tell the truth, it's hard to believe it's a model. May i ask if you could post a wire of the whole scene?

This the facial expression reminds me agent smith from matrix reloded.
The texturing and lighting are very high quality. I like the shader on the face.

I think this deserves a cgtalk award.

I could be wrong but I don't think that shirt is cg, it's a photo right? Should really let people know when you post. The face is very well done, he has a lot of character, and the texturing is top notch. There should be a little more bounce light from the shirt onto the sides of the head...

Excellent image but just a couple of things.

- His eyebrows seem very faint almost as if he doesn't have eyebrows.
- I'm guessing the head was composited over a real photograph of the body. If not that shirt is amazingly realistic.
