This is inspired by the illustration from Carl Critchlow for Magic the Gathering.The entire image is done in 3d studio max.All the detailes of the creature is modeled ,& no displacement maps were used.I wanted to recreate the beauty & horror containes in the original 2d artwork.Comments will be most welcome.

Beautiful, but can you post a larger image?
I'd like to see wings completely....
Monster's texture is great, but I would have made hands more visible, not much ligth falls on them...
Anyway

what about change some light source,

the main charater doesn't seems good in this light.
but that's a good job indeed

I saw some of your wips as well, would be lovely if you posted more closeup wireframes of the model, it is incredibly impressive.

this is pretty sweet no lies, I'm reading a book right now called "this present darkness" by frank e peretti, dealing with angelic and demonic forces in this small town. I imagine any one of the demons to look alot like what you've done here, I'm stoked on that.

absolutely great. just the translucency of wing looks a bit odd to me. almost its looks like a dirty glass. anyway great.

Great model!, but the enviroment and lighting doesnt do it justice in my opinion. If you could work that out it will even get better.
