The Grail, Eric Malek (3D)

Title: The Grail
Name: Eric Malek
Country: United States
Software: 3ds max, Brazil r/s, Photoshop

This is my tribute the the man Zakk Wylde. I wanted to get back on the modeling wagon after animating for so long. This was just a hobby project. Overall took about 3 weeks to model and texture on and off. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. You guys here at CG Talk are the best of the best!

Verry cool, A Les Paul I love these things, they have the coolest body shape of all guitars i think. I bought one similar to that (different colors alltogeather), but mines got a pick guard.
anyway, about the model, i think it looks great, the corner of the pointy cutaway bit looks maybe a bit too round, hard for me to tell in that render tho, it does seem thick tho like they said, Then again, picking up my guitar and looking at it, it seems pretty insanely thick, these things weight like 10 lbs usualy, which is alot for a guitar.

oh, btw, heres my guitars, if your interested in seeing them

http://www.coronaleonis.com/eon/images/guitars.jpg - a note about my geetar
jimmy plays almost the exact same one during the song remains the same aswell as don felder during hell freezes over, and slash plays almost exclusively i think on les pauls

anyway, cool stuff man, looks about right to me.

thanks for all the input guys! I really like all the guitarists in here. I have been playing for about 14 years and I have a Jackson KVX10 the total heavy metal guitar! Here's a closer render.
