Leonardo Da Vinci - Underground Of The Casle, Mario Taddei - Studioddm (3D)

Title: Leonardo Da Vinci - Underground Of The Casle
Name: Mario Taddei - Studioddm
Country: Italy
Software: 3dsmax 4

We are In the castle of Milan (castello sforzesco) in Italy, 500 years ago inside the original undergrounds. Here worked Leonardo da Vinci for half of his life. You can see some of his machines and works (more will come).
I did an entire expo on Leonado da Vinci with Edoardo Zanon look at www.leonardo3.net not only the 3d but the history research!
No lightracer, no plugin, no raytracing and so on. I did this 2 years ago with Max 4!
The wall briks are not good. I did the textures whit original photos from the Castle I visited. If you like it I will send some more and new images on Leonado da Vinci.
Ciao,
Mario

Mona Lisa

Mona Lisa?
Leonardo da vinci painted in the 1503 when he was in Florennce not in Milan!

That is NOT the best work of Leonardo, belive. I hate all that stupid people that make hundreds of flash photos in fron of the Mona at Louvre, noone of them really look at the painting, and do not notice all others Leonardo and Caravaggio masterciece next to that stupid little painting.

Mona? masterpiece?
Look at other 10000 works of Leonardo,
not this, please!

Hi Davhb! Are you a veteran? How can I have an avatar picture? are you BatMAN?

ciao!

I could be nice sometime if someone made a 3d Mona Lisa though.

Even if it wouldn't be an original creation.. bah, it's not copyrighted, is it?

And Mona Lisa IS a masterpiece, I'm not an expert but I've read things saying he made her nearly perfect, and made a very detailed painting. Anyways, I think it's nice.

Probably I understand which is the meanings looming in background of Mario's mind...

Leonardo painted and sketched tons of materials, and paintings are only a tiny bit of his
whole life creations. He's well known among painters because he used, among firsts, some innovative techniques to paint in layers and to capture the "real" light (before, in gothic art colours and light are mere symbols of metaphorical concepts).
It's not a surprise knowing he barely knows latin (the science language of the time)
and used to write and speak in vulgar (protoitalian).. but, nevermind...

Monna Lisa is a great painting but not "THE painting" at all.

Concerning the 3D model... it could be interesting but, remeber that mona lisa was used
thousand times and her image is linked with some meanings that a communicator has to be aware of. Making a 3D model of Mona for what reason? Search for 3d fabric reproduction?
Texturing? this could be achieved trying to use the paint as a basis and develop the concept..
Look at the galleries of this forum... !

You remake Mona Lisa in 3D so she looks just like the 2D one.. and then.. POOF, she starts moving and smiling and waving.

That'd be nice.
Useless.

Nice.
