Environment: Building Metropolis, Dennis Allain (3D)

Title: Environment: Building Metropolis
Name: Dennis Allain
Country: Usa
Software: Cinema4d, Photoshop

This is an architectural study, based in the Art Deco style. In terms of the illustration itself. I was trying to capture the same monolithic presence that is so often captured in the works of Hugh Ferriss. The story behind the image itself is quite simple. I wanted to portray a piece of achitecture not in its ideal state of completion but rather in a state of becoming. Any-who, thanks for viewing and as always, all comments and questions encouraged.

this is very nice. The detailed and non-detailed parts are very well done.

Love the composition and lightning. Is there any chance to see the same picture in color?

Fantastic! And IMHO it's perfect in black & white. No colors needed here.

Just wanted to say that I agree that your picture doesn't need color. My question about color was not a complaint - I was just curious

Hey thanks for the feedback. I have kinda been on this black and white kick lately. I have found that it helps me understand the lighting better and sorta lends itself to the 'period' quality of the image. I did have it as a brown duatone but I scrapped that one (looked like it was trying to hard).
I will wrestle up a wireframe and see if the new posting system allows me to post it with minimal fuss....
Thanks again!!!
