The model seems a little simple!

yeah it wasn't ment to be anything complex i just needed a simple model(s) to work on my photo realistic textureing skills. the next model i'll post up will be way more complex.....i just have to work out a few texturing issues and it should be up i'd say in about a week and a half at the most. thanx for the reply T.Frog

i dont understand what you mean?.....what could i do to make the clay material true qur?....i used a photo reference so im confused..... does it need to be duller or something?
Old 08 August 2004   #7

Soon2bAnimator; i mean the texture must be more homojen
may be i am wrong ..
if you can post the ref. pic. we can compare.
but when i was in universty i studied ceramics for 4 years..
so i think i have seen clay much enough.. ,
but the render and the lightning are good.

thanx gur ima see if i can find my photo ref...but if you've got 4 years exp. than i'll take your word for it

to me it looks like tainted glass, translucid glass, or whatever

make it more rough, bump map maybe?
maybe more uniform also, but if you took a picture as a reference, i'd say only bump map it.. add some roughness to it.
just my opinion ^^
the skin is nice tho overall.
keep it up

texture is stretching across the rim of the vase, looks a bit distracting , maybe put some diurt in there and add a flow , maybe do a whole garden,...

Your texture is very nice, but it doesn't look photo real (if that is what you were going for). It could be because of your lighting. but it would be nice to see it with a little more complicated lighting.

Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
