Ruined Bridge For Contest, Theodoric (3D)

Software: 3d Max 6.0 With Shag:hair And Afterburn, Ps 7.0,

Hi all.
I made this image for a hungarian contest.
I use 3D Studio Max 6.0 with Shag:Hair and Afterburn.
Color correction made in Photoshop 7.0.
Please tell me your oppinions about the pictures :)

Hey !

I really like this Theodoric ! Great picture !
Just one little thing :
The big smoke in the background seems a bit like its only a 2D sprite. Its a little too "flat" to my taste, and it looks like its casting shadows on the sky.
But really good overall.

hi,

i like this picture alot, but here are few things you should fix:
firstly .. the smoke in the background. it seams that they got some drop shadows, a bit unreal this way.
the second thing is the composition of the smoke trails .. there should be a few of them in the "foreground" .. behind the bridge. this way you have to build some crashed aircrafts .
what i miss is some trees in the background (top of the hill, behind the small house and the bridge). this can really pump up the picture.
also you can try to adjust the colors of the whole thing. just try to darken the picture (off course except for the highlights).

what i love about this image: the grass in the foreground, the bridge rocks!!!, the guardhouse. the bridge is a high quality one (with those rocks on it ).

overall ... good work!!!

this style of bridge seems out of place in the countryside

it's a really nice image though. nice textures, although some more attention could have been paid to the background.

yeah the only thing that I see that could use a bit more work is what others have already pointed out, the smoke and the sky in the background need to be less flat looking

Very nice!!!

I like the use of shag hair for the grass!

Im am currently trying to use shag fur for old dry grass, but i have to convert it to polys cause im rendering with vray. And it tends to make the poly count rather high :-)
