Robot with a Pearl Earring, Thomas DesJardins (3D)

This is a study on a classical painting by Johannes Vermeer recreated in 3d. I made the girl robotic to give a contemporary flare.

Sadly the reflections on the left side of the face give away the polygonstructure. Kind of ruins it

I can't really see this. If you mean the specularity where the nose should be, I think it looks fine with no nose.

Its the light grey areas on the upper left quarter part of the face.

very nice work, awesome shading!
I like the second version, probably adding a bit of noise to the image will add more realism.

I'm not really sure why the reflections appear this way. That entire piece is subdivided smoothly...
