It is a night render made for the Vray 10th anniversary contest, the subject was the invention of the lightbulb and the focus was on the contrast between light and darkness.

you are missing a lot of secondary light.
the dark areas are way to black.

it would be nice to see some effect of the moon coming in through the windows

It does indeed look very dark around the edges, but I like the composition

I agree with the lack in secondary light bouncing, but it was for the purpose of the mood, more a cinema approach than pure photo-realism. But yes it is maybe a little exaggerate! Tnx for the comments I will take it in consideration for new projects.
