Thanks so much guys! It actually is Guerillas, not gorillaz. Guerillas is a comic book, written and illustrated by Bhram Revel. Here is the original image:




But there is monkey's in both

I did the side view as well, same render settings and a little photshop trickery.

More in line with the concept

Very nice recreation in your own style. Personally I like your composition more than the original (the first render).

Excellent job Maxim! Personally I prefer the second render that matches the viewpoint of the cover. That said, it's really cool to see his blank eyes in the first angle.

The only thing I'm not keen on is the mist effect, it looks too much like Photoshop clouds for my taste.
