Model village, Lee Griggs (3D)

Title: Model village
Name: Lee Griggs
Country: United Kingdom
Software: Arnold, Maya, ZBrush

3D World magazine - April 2013

This is a scene of a model village modeled in Maya and Zbrush by the great Humberto Barros.

The scene was lit with a hdri skydome light and rendered in camera with the Arnold renderer.

Thanks a lot.

I like your model village, particularly the wood shingles. It may be a personal taste, but the depth of field looks a little strong.

Love it!

I love this image Lee, it is incredible how you have conveyed the scale of the scene. It feels like you could just pick up the model figures.

There is a TV ad campaign in the UK that uses a similar treatment, but yours is far better.

I would love to see more scenes in this style

Link for ad is in case you would like to see it

Just saw this on the top row. I really love the scale you've given this piece. I agree, feels like you could reach out and grab the individual models. Masterfully done.
