Red Steel II, Catalin Obreja (3D)

Title: Red Steel II
Name: Catalin Obreja
Country: United Kingdom
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay, ZBrush
Submitted: 25th October 2012

This is a new action render of my cyber-punk-ish type character and her ride.
Original concept for the bike (and the main source of inspiration for the exo suit and the overall theme) can be found here:

The character was made to resemble the bike, no previous concepts, just made things up as i went along .

Technicall wise, everything was modeled in 3DS Max, detailed and textured in Zbrush, projection and adjustments with X-normal and Photoshop, Rendered in V-ray(for about 6h on an I7) and composed in Photoshop.
Smoke and particles done with old-school software ParticleIllusion 3.

Turntable videos can be seen here:

Please tell me what you think of the overall scene, what looks bad or good on any aspect!

Thank you!

Nice work. I like the way you lit the turntable of the girl, nice effect. At first I thought it was the effects of 9 bottles of bulmers and more than a few gulps of vodka playiong tricks on me. I;m crawling off to bed , good work and thanks for sharing.
I like to learn.

This is a nice work, I specially love the contrast between red and gray blue colors that you used and the models, they are impressive.

Congratulations for the work!!

I great piece of work, the color contrast reminds me a lot of Tron and how different CLU and his goons are form other programs on the grid.
