Post Apocalyptic Ruined City, Andy Walsh (3D)

Title: Post Apocalyptic Ruined City
Name: Andy Walsh
Country: United Kingdom
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

Personal project exploring extreme urban vegetation in a post apocalyptic environment. Used Forest Pack Lite and Ivy Generator to build up layers of greenery.

Modelled in 3ds max, composited in Photoshop, rendered with Vray. Check out tutorial here:

Thanks Sascha, you're most welcome.

Carmen - not too bad. Over night. Polygons aren't an issue with render times (only about 3 million in the scene anyway). It's displacement, fog and soft reflections that are the real pain.

As for the trees I used Forest Pack Lite and Ivy Generator. Just made some splines, added a forest to them and turned them on their side to poke out the windows.
