Entering atmosphere, Christian Schumann (3D)

Title: Entering atmosphere
Name: Christian Schumann
Country: Germany
Software: CINEMA 4D, GIMP

"The ship's hull is rattling, steel squeaks, the air burns, everything is in motion. Nope, this ship wasn't primarily build to land on a planet..."

Created with Cinema 4D - some touch-ups were done in Gimp. The clouds in the background and the atmosphere were made with Vue 6.

This is one of my first images with Cinema4D. I tried to get a sense of speed or falling. So, C&C are very welcome :)

Thanx for the replies

@zhangligang
No, it's not earth. Actually, it's a colony named HG/8C in a larger project
