Devotion, Christopher Tackett (3D)

Title: Devotion
Name: Christopher Tackett
Country: United States
Software: Photoshop, ZBrush

This is a portrait/sculpture I created in ZBrush. I mainly wanted to do a character which has a story written into the lines of her face. An old nun has such a story of devotion and sacrifice.

Modeled in ZB4, Rendered in ZBrush 4R2 with a some Photoshop postwork.

Great work indeed, her skin sss might be a bit high for her age, but the overall pictures works really well.
Nice!

The fabric looks very good, especially the folds

i like the overall mood, but the fabric looks way to heavy for the cloth of such an old woman. it looks warm, soft and so on, but at least the cloth on her head, the hood, looks way to heavy. i mean, the folds and so on are beautiful, but just not right

Thanks everyone! Yeah, the fabric does feel a little heavy now that I take a closer look at it.

But let me try to BS my way out of that one. How about that we just say the heavy robes signify the heavy commitment she made so long ago? Hehe!

Fantastic work!
I love the overall picture. But also the details in modeling, texturing and in the materials / shaders. Great work there!

Cheers Silverwing

great model and textures.
i agree about the weightfeeling of the cloth and perhaps a bit more contrast in lighting.
