Concept Sketch: Ready 2 Wear

I know its a little late in the game...but the muse didnt rack my brain till recently! I wanted to paint somethin a little different more of a social critique on our obsession with cosmetic and superficial features. Scanner is out so pardon the digital camera photo.

Line Art: Ready 2 Wear

I am burning paper! I know I have 3 days left so after A quick line art ( I like to paint over a detailed sketch) I need to start painting. I usually spend more time on a detailed drawing but time wont hold still this week. I wanted to capture a person in their most vunerable and private the bathroom where we are our true critics.

The clock ticks.

Time to paint...

On the line art, my fiance said it would be impossible to hold the eyelid, it would have to be pulled open on the skin (Guess I'm weird ---its no problem for me!) So i adjusted that///then added on the container for her robotic eye ....which sports her new brand name eye...which is visible under her skin. I figured if machine flesh were possible..its gonna start off as a cosmetic product...after all its bound to happen.
