Concept Sketch: Tree Frog Spy

Well from what I see in the mechanical-flesh challenge so far is everyone for the most part is doing a human cyborg type character. So im playing around with a idea of using a small animal as a spy tool. First animal I've been playing around with is a tree frog.

Wow, I guess we had an exactly the same idea...

You're in the 3D challenge though and your little reptilian has no jet engine so it doesnt really bother me - wish you all the best and have fun with your frog .

Witcher

I'm glad we are in different sections then..... It's Pretty funny we both came up with a frog around the exact same time... I sketched him out last night before I went to bed...

We where both thinking along the same lines as far as something abit different.

Best of luck in the 2d challenge. I'll be rooting for you.

Kurt B.....................Just wanted to drop by and say I like the idea quite a bit.Fun and has lot's of potential fun modeling ..................You can go a long way with this Super frog.

I like that you are keeping at least half of the body organic.Goggles are cool too, are'nt they always.

Possibly some extra machine suction cups for the fingertips?..............Anyways,nice concept.fun and has lots of potential.See you around............

Had some time today to start the model.. About 2 hours of work so far. Still playing with the form more than anything else right now.

Nice Model!

It's looking really good so far. Glad to see someone else trying to stay away from the human cyborg idea. Love the frog, such a cute creature to make into a spy... I'm doing something similar, but with a flea... Cool idea, love the sketch and the model, looks great!

That frog is uber cute. One thing: your model is going more for realism, at least that's how it looks, while sketch is more stylized. I'd keep that slight toon stylization, short, fat fingers, bright colors. That's where some of it's cuteness lies IMO.
