Speed Modelling 9 - 07-21-2012 to 07-28-2012

Speed Modelling 9

Welcome to the new speed modelling, this time we are doing it more simplified with a set time limit for each of the items. I will keep the objects real simple so each week there will be 5 new items.
Gonna try this over the summer with a new thread every Saturday.

Items (1 hour time limit for each of the items)

- geiger counter
- kitchen chair
- femur bone
- shin protection
- steering wheel

Back to 1 hour limit for each of the items, feel free to extend the limit if needed as detail takes a lot of time.
If you are newbie feel free to add more of hours if you need to, better practise than not practise I believe.
Good work everyone in the previous thread.

incredible two hours work... had to clean topology as it seems that I am bad in getting the right faces and verts for extrusion... need to keep more attention to this... as it is now after midnight here I decided not to add any more detail. But Topology is clean!

I like your wheel whom - do you use references when modelling?

VitalyM, really nice geiger counter! Love the detail on top! The bone turned out also very well, nice job. You even did the kneepad.

Steering Wheel

This steering wheel is from a 1955 Imperial Newport. I made the exterior a while back, but never got around to the interior. Anyways here's the wheel. The link has wires and a few photos of the real thing. The model took exactly one hour.
