At first a little correction: meant “except” instead of “expect”

I think the wool ball needs more shadows on the wool itself. It appeared to me almost a bit flat like a composited picture at first glance. But as mentioned, it might be just me...

Keep up the beautiful work!

hahaha, this is so cool and original. Have a plan to animate it?

nice work on the lighting and texturing!

jadecilcleton: Thanks a bunch! I plan to do more like this.

zokana: Ok, I'll take a look at the wool ball. I think I'll just make sure to use an AO pass on the whole thing this time.

stankovigorro: Thanks you thank you. No, unfortunately I went into this specifically trying steer away from my usual 'make sure everything is animatable' mindset and while it was freeing I'm certainly wishing I could animate this guy now! His body is just modeled in that pose.

bpx: Thanks alot! I've spent many hours staring at this cat render...

desaicx, Arkaiko, frossi:

Thanks a lot for your kind words! I'm currently re-working it based on all of the comments I received here...I guess I wasn't done haha.

Looks very nice. My only critique in addition to the others is that there seems to be visual tension between the bottom edge of the mouse and the shadow of the water bowel. Seperating the two could really help to sell that the mouse is running.

No crits here, all have been said °_-

Very original works imo. I would love to see it animated

I especially like the lighting, over-exposed areas work fine in this picture

Congrats for teh award

Gumpshmee: I'll look into moving stuff around, I originally had the shadow there to give contrast to the mouse. Maybe you're right though, it could be causing some confusion/tension.

Really lovely work! Congrats!

Just a question: How did you managed the structure of the carpet...it looks so nice...?
