Lol...I am not sure what you are trying to say.

That either he is under the strong religious "forbid, forbid, FORBID" spell/mentality and doesn't approve.

Or

That is he a free mind that stepped out from under that blanket and admires all forms of art.

But I agree with you, it's hard to figure out which of the two he is.

Yes, some people might find this statement offensive, just as I find people offensive who think they can police what others are and are not allowed to view out of religious or cultural views/convictions.

This criticism is my personal opinion and has no bearing on cultural or any other issues. My opinions were mostly based on artistic issues which I will expand upon here:

1.The anatomy of the body is stuck between a realistic and cartoonish style and does not have a correct relationship with the head.

2.The contours of the eyes have not been done in a way which I consider technically correct.

3.The eye reflections are still a bit unnatural.

4.The head portrait has a rather repetitive design.

5.The only strong part of the work is the shading and lighting.

At the end I must add that the CGTalk selection committee has not acted as soundly as before in the last few months.

Personally, I think this piece was headered not so much for the correct anatomy or fine details, but the extremely convincing emotion it portrays. What it might lack in the areas you describe it more than makes up on the emotional side of the portrait.

If you say the only strong part of this work is the shading and lighting then judging by the replies in this thread you have completely missed the most important aspect of this piece, which is a shame really

ps: What did you mean by this remark, because it's also not very clear?:

Dude think about what you said. "Artistic issues"? Since when were there "rules" about how to be artistic? My apologies, I am not trying to bag on you at all. I just think that the whole point of art is so you can do things outside of what's real and normal.

I like her eyes!!!

appealing

Well gentlemen, I think the image is very attractive. Her expression and her pose are very appealing and I think that's what counts right? Congratulations to the artist and keep up the good work.

P.S. Don't change its color for its perfect the way it is. I have some artistic nudes samples and let me tell you that the color as well as the light and shadows are very photographic. It's perfect the way it is.

Great works!

juanmigueltomala. I just watch some footage of ratatouille and I can understand what you mean by similar to this colorblind girl.

I don't want to start a debate, but as some else just said earlier in this topic. We are in 21st century. No?, so why each time someone see breast in picture or anything else, they complain about nude or NSFW? I've always said that european mind are higher than north-american on that point. Here in america, porn is over-socially accepted but artistic nude or photographic is not accepted in general audience. closed mind? I will never understand...

Thumbs up Brilliant!

I absolutely love it! I`m a big fan of this high quality looking smooth cartoon style and this piece def. adds a unique quality to the standard look (I think it`s her nose...)!
Love that she has freckles.

*Thumbs up*
