Thumbs up

Clothing is awesome !!
why did you prefer mesh hair to Hair fx?

cheers

Old 04 April 2007   #62
Thank you all for the nice words. I'm glad that 'Binah' pleases you .

SmuggledPixel : Hey , Hello Julien . It's nice to have some news from you. I hope to see you soon.

aaaaCHoooo : I did prefer mesh hair to Hair Fx, because I don't have enough RAM in my PC to render long hairs with MentalRay. And render tests was too long time consuming.

Mesh hairs worked well with this picture, so I used it. Unfortunatly it does'nt work with animation .... Perhaps one day ,with enough RAM, I will be able to animate her with real CG hairs.

Great image, especially the ghostly, luminous skin. You mentioned that she's part of a series? Can't wait to see the rest!

The skin is so beautiful. I love everything about this work. Like Piek said I look forward to seeing the rest. You have set a very high bar for yourself with this one though

Great work Florian!

Thumbs up my reply

Nice work I must commend

But I want to know if u used polygon modelling or NURBS

Good work

danielkenobi, Piek, Voigtlander, jyp999, jitendra, damaroy, thanks for the nice comments.

damaroy : I mainly used polymodeling.
The body is fully created with polygons .
For the dress I used bezier patch tools in 3DSmax (patchs are almost similar to NURBS),to create the underlying topology, and added an editpoly modifier to create details on it.So, I was able to modify the general shape of the dress with bezier patch, while creating details..

Thanks again .

Thumbs up Impressive

For starters, good work. The skin, however, looks a little too flat. Granted, it's smooth quality contrasts nicely with the dress, and makes it look more pure. However, I would add just a tiny more texture. Also, something looks strange around her right armpit and breast. Perhaps some lighting would fix the issue with some more definite shadows. Right now, that part of her body really looks unnatural, which may be the style you're going for, but I would change it....

Are you going to be keeping this as a "Wax Model" or are there plans on texturing?

I like it a lot. Cool details, and mood. It's sure that professional will highlights mistakes to correct, but I think think, it worth my five stars
