sweet ! how does modo work with zbrush ? is there a tutorial that shows a base model transferred to zbrush then sent back to LW/MAX/XSI and rendered ? basically a workflow of 3d app with zbrush.

I saw this over at the Zbrush forums and I gotta say I'm a big fan of your work, not just your modelling, but your rendering and how you present your work. I noticed that you said (in the Zbrush forums) you rendered this in Modo and not Vray. How are you finding rendering in Modo, 'cos you've acheived a pretty amazing result.

amazing! this is what an alien should exact look like .... :-D

perfekt and "beliveable" shape of the ears. Only the shader of the eye isnot good, too matt.

thank you all for your comments. i'm glad that you like it

paulc:actually i render it in modo to test it's new render engine and i must say that it's quite good and pretty fast for displacement mapping,it has everything you need (GI, SSS, glossy reflection,DOF...) but so far,i still prefere Vray.

bolek: my workflow for this model was simple. i started a low res model in Modo, unwarp my UV (modo is so great for that ), exported it in .OBJ in Zbrush, make all the highres stuffs, created the displacement map and then back to modo for the rendering process.

Wicked stuff, wish you had a colour version as well, perhaps add some subtle SSS? Anyways, the image is strangely captivating, though I agree you should cut off the lower edge of the image to complete the impression of it being a whole alien instead of a buste.

Very cool model! I really like the lips and the subtle scale-like details.
