I think this image is very clean and nicely set up.

I dont agree with mr.Gooch that the dof should be the same on the fin above water as under.
where as water is thicker than air and has an different ior than air.

just my point

This is the best model/render i have seen of a great white on any board.

maybe the water is too reflective...but it looks very good the way it is, not real but looks really nice.

Smile Wire and other

Thanks a lot for comments,

Here you can find the wire, the Z deep and a comparison through the original reflection of the skin and the cg.

About the rendering, It takes 2 ours for an 3200 x 2000 pxl

The water material is a Brazil glass material with a 1.333 IOR and a lite green colour.

All the DOF and RAY effect are made in Combustion using the RPF file from MAX.

The caustic effect is a Mask on the direct light that simulate the sun.
