Great model. If im not wrong it looks as thought you spent alot if time around the eye area of the face; With the bump mapping and such, i say go around the whole charactwer and put the same attention to every detail, especially more in the mouth area. I would say that the chin looks "odd" and even though the person may loko like that, you stll have the artistic ability to change it of course. Im almost thinking that its not the model, but the pose, and the lighting in the scene. Nothing wrong with both, but it could be a tiny bit better.

Anybody else see this or am i mad?

Im really impressed. I'de like to know if when you do texture maps, do you use hi-res facial maps as a base, or is all of your work photoshop/wacom tablet work. Im particulary blown away by the details of his "crows feet" and other parts of the eye orbit.

Great work, and definately a 5 star piece.

I have to say I love the model.
And thanx big time, Mandrake for posting the bump and colour maps. I think this really helps us mere-mortals learn so much more from the gods of mapping and texturing..
There's definately not enough sharing in the community when it comes to these easily passed on skills

This is real nice, wonderful job

I have a question ... why do you have a lighter skin color on the forehad at the same place you have some lighter color on the bump map becase I dont see where the lighter color shows up on the forehead in the render

  11 November 2002

  11 November 2002
