A quite impressive piece of modeling! Everything matches up with the original very well, even the slightly wrong proportions of the original sculpture. How long did it take you to do this?

GREAT!!!
I think you have inproved you skill enough!
The only thing I don't like is the texture (Michelangelo use the whitest carrara's marble).
Anothe problem is in the knee

Now you have to write VLADISECO on the Virgin's wrap .

Beautiful work! I agree that Mary in the original sculpture looks a bit more sad and the marble texture isn't perfect (I see some stretching on the legs), but it's still just awesome.

Hi!
wow, I did not expect this response, I posted it yesterday before I went to sleep
and now I am seeing it at front page, thank you very much for your answers!
I don┤t know what to say, the whole model is made with polygons, I started modelling Jesus based on a photo of the human body. Later I rigged the character and placed it in the position based on a photo of the PietÓ which I used as referen, I made th necessary deformations to make it look as close as possible to the original. Then i continued with Maria, the part wich tool me the longest time was the thorax of Maria since it contains a lot of folds in her clothes. Her dress was easier.

Here is the wire:

Thanks!!

This is absolutely brilliant Vladimir! If I could give a thread 6 stars, I would've given them.
I think that I can safely say that this is the best 3d human sculpture I've ever seen.

The only thing that caught my eye was the left arm of jesus. Compared to the original sculpture, it looks very thing and maybe even a bit squashed.

ps. I've sent you a PM.
