Raphael, I see only masterpieces from you..and this is stunning! I agree with all the comments posted, the lighting is superb!
just one thing..why matte? everything seems 3d to me..what parts of the image are not 3d?
keep rocking mate!

hey this is great... wonderful rendering and awesome lighting.. the geometries somewhere looks bit low poly and the edges dont seem to have highlights, i eman it looks to cornery. btw u got an amazing job done here.. i really liked the detail u put into this art.. i spacially like ur bamboo structures on the top of that big building... very well done.. keep it up mate...

It's the lighting overall that makes this shot - looks great! I don't believe the edges are too sharp in this case, as overcontrast suggests......if you were nearer I'd agree, but you don't always see that kind of detail, unless it's pretty gross, from these distances.

But the flames in the torches by the waterside - they look too pointed, too much like candle flames. The sense I get is that these are really large, the actual objects I mean, but the flames don't seem to sit well with those structures or be believable.

thanks all ,

yes! it is done by one man... with the hands
It is actually All 3D, this is why I call it 3D matte painting.
I did a few colour corrections in photoshop indeed and for the movie shot,
it was done in after effects,

cheers all !
