This is the in-game cinema model of Foster from MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf. The model is around 7500 polys with normal and specular maps.

Foster is the lighthearted tech specialist/mechanic of the Wolf's Dragoons. He's got tools and gadgets all over. I'm imagining the yellow glove as a remote interface for cranes and such - it also plays Powerglove Nintendo games. :p

you game modelling guys never cease to amaze me...impressive stuff...well stunning actually. texture work is first class.

That's amazing work. I am new to this site. Someone mentioned you had a web site. Would you mind telling us what that is again. Being a new nurbs modeler, I am blown away that this is polygons. How long did it take you to complete this model?
Also do you have a wireframe of this model?

jynce: My site is I'd say this character took about 4 weeks? Hard to say it was a long time ago. He was pretty annoying to make because of all the doodads, belts, and scruffy hair. But I'm happy with the results. All the extra stuff looks cool in motion. Big props go to Joel Dang who did a great job rigging the character, and of course Alan Noon who made the rig.

My tip would be to practice a lot and try to do what the artists you look up to do, and drink mountain dew. If you ever want some crits on work feel free to email me. I'd be glad to help.
