Nice. I like it. But... it's not your original idea yah?
I have seen a picture like it (with other construction) called Ring of Imagination. Or did you make that too? I can't remember the artist's name.

the clothw as replaced by a bunch of webs, the blackened animal skull with a real creature, still a human face (holding the bridge this time), and a light source still in the middle.

what the story behind this ring? u should publish a book or wherever " the 'real lord' -of the ring" hahaha, nice!!

incredible... very spooky. THe singular sort of hue adds to the over all effect of eerie space.

As for crits, I feel that the metal might be just a tad too shiny, but I hesitate in telling you to tone it down because it may retract from the overall impact.
The fact that the render seems exceedingly raw at the moment really appeals to me.

héhé, very strange conception, i like that, abstract art, the render is perfect

My title suggestion: "Oil to oil."
*agression* *iraq war* *rot* *drive* *forwhat*

I like it very much. I think the colour composition is not as balanced as you did it
in that ring with the piano-playing mouse. I agree with ed harriss: the tree and
the bridge, together with that bulb in the middle gave me a feeling of a cover art
for a scientistic learning game for children . Perhaps because they look too nice,
I don't know. I like the cooler left part of the picture, and the look of the weasel.
Did you try out living eyes, with a pupil (they must be really good rendered).

I saw the flatshaded ring and there, the bridge as a thin connection creates a
good contrast between the upper and the lower pieces of the ring. I think this
suspense vanished in the final image because the colour contrast between the
bridge and the space behind is too small and you can't see anymore it's thin.
As an impression, in the flatshaded image, the bridge reminded me a bit of a
spine, maybe of the weasel.

Personally, I don't like the bright flare in upper left corner. It disturbs the geometrical
balance of the image created by the ring.

For the machine part I would suggest some kind of patina which makes it older
and fit to the cool organic stuff. Or, instead of patina, less of reflection and more
green.
