Question: The rules state to avoid well known sci-fi franchises but what about a lesser known sci-fi concept? I recently read a book that fits the brief so perfectly it's eery.

IMO, draw influnces from it but do not copy style or what ever make it Uniquely yours, is what I'd say.

Hey, guys. I'm Gabriel Gonzalez, the 3D multimedia designer for Alienware. First off, I just want to say how all of us here at Alienware are excited about this contest, and we definitely cant wait to see what you guys produce. Another thanks to Cgnetworks for this opportunity. Its going to be awesome.

Weve been looking through the threads and have seen many of the same concerns come up. Most of them have been answered in the FAQ thread by Leonard, so please read the FAQ thread.

There is one question about whether or not the guy screaming out can be part of the image. Alienware wants to exclude that guy from the scene.

Other than that, go crazy! And good luck!

Question Important Question!

Hi buddies...
just a question:

Can I enter the challenge using digital matte painting?
Because I heard that about using only 3D...
(if it's a still image you can give the third dimension feeling in many ways...)

Please answer me.
