3D Showreel

Hi, im working in 3Ds Max for last 2-3 years and i made my first showreel it contains little bit of everything since i cant decide on which 3d area i should concentrate the most because i love almost everything about 3d (except VFX, maybe texturing) so could you please give me honest oppinion/critique about my work, (i know i must include contact information in reel)

Hello and welcome to cgs! Your video seems to be set to private, so it's difficult for anyone to see it I'm afraid.

I'll be honest, since I prefer that kind of feedback myself

You have some nice looking stuff there, but nothing I would call finished or polished, but that's totally dependant on who you want to see this. Game companies, vfx, clients? A showreel should probably be more focused on your target audience, 30 seconds on a turntable character is too much, in my opinion.

If you are not looking for low poly game work specifically I think you should take a course or follow some tutorials on Mental ray materials and lighting, because the shaders and lighting is really holding you back unless you are going for a certain style. The car looks very cartoony.

Good luck, also feel free to ignore my opinion, what do I know

That was fast , first of all thanks for your time, of course i will not ignore your opinion i like my work to be criticized and you are right about what you say, my main area of interest is character digital sculpting and modeling (freelance jobs) so in the future i will "tailor" my reel in that way.
