Overpass/Train - WIP

Hello and thank you for taking the time to look over my models!

This is a small environment I have been working on for about two days now, I started this project as practice to build on my modelling skills, but am hoping to use this piece in a Reel eventually.

these were done using Maya 2013 and Mental Ray rendering for now as those are what I am most comfortable with, but as I learn other rendering/modeling techniques I will incorporate these into my 3D arsenal.

What I am trying to achieve with this scene is a interesting, somewhat realistic look. I haven't been going off any set reference and have just been taking things from different images and putting them together and seeing what works best. I am looking for any helpful tips or tricks, and critiques that anyone would be willing to share with me to help me improve the overall quality of my scene.

Thank you again!

A few updates...

Here's another update, I have removed the passenger car and replaced it with something that better fits with the rest of the train. Still looking to add more detail without overdoing it, but maybe I should just start texturing.
