Hi,
I have a cookie with cream that explodes in the frame 390 to normal speed and the speed diminishes in the frame 397 to a factor of 0.03, it continues this way until the frame 480 and then everything stops 5 seconds (this part is easy, simply I use the same object 5 seconds) and then everything should accelerate in 7 frames to normal speed again.
The explosion of the cookie is already resolved (normal velocity and slow motion), but the cream not.
Does somebody know how to accelerate and to decrease the speed of a simulation in RealFlow??? I´ve tried to change the FPS but this option cannot animate... :P

Any advice will be very appreciated!
Looking at the amount of entries here and the amount entered on the site it doesn't quite add up It helps you and me at the same time.

It only takes 2mins or less
Thx for your cooperation.
Ok....after taking many ideas into account I came to this result which I like best:

The Magnetic Man!

A guy who is able to put metal things on his body!

The Story:
The guy stands next to a table with metal objects like spoons, coins an old flat iron etc.

He waves around with his hands to get attention and shows a spoon to the viewer(s).

Then he puts it to his stomach but it falls down. Wondered He tries to pick it up...

...and sticks with his head to the iron on the table which stays on his face. Fighting with the iron he tries to get rid of it.

At the end he falls on the table and all the metal objects get on him.

(Maybe optional addition: The crowds cheer and throw coins at him which directly stick to his body)

Technique
I thought of simple segmented geometry (good old "Vyas Style" )
To prevent rigging I'll use maNus great rigging scripts.

(added) Concepts/Storyboard:

As you can see I left out the ending.

Good Luck everyone

Hi eveyone first post here on cgtalk!
i want to just concentrate on getting together a show animation piece for my showreel so my empeses is on getting good movement and weight right now, and im also still learning maya so im going with simple or segmented models.
anyhow heres a rough outline of my story...

man in cannon attracting crowds attention
man points to net far away
cannon starts to drift downward until it points to the ground
man realises and tries to pull himself out of cannon
he`s stuck
tries to blow out fuse he cant
tries to pull himself out again, this time his head on the ground lifts the cannon
man lifts the rest of the way with his arms
cannon back to the right position man readies himself to be fired
cannon fuse fizzes out
look of annoyment from man

not very orignal i think show a good range of emotions and actions i may have to chop it down to fit 20sec
im not sure about the ending either, but its all in the air right now
i hope to have a story board in the next couple of weeks
ok good luck everyone

ok Guyzz I'm in...

first of all I won't follow exactly the guidelines (those damn guidelines) as I'm trying to learn animation at the moment (on maya)...I don't want to focus at all in creating a character, but rather animate animate and animate...and I don't have a character that could fit...
but as I like this exercice...I'll try anyway...

so my guy will be my toro...from now in this challenge he's toroman...an old cousin of elephant man....ok sorry ...
but to try to fit just a little bit with the sideshow idea, I'll add a little joke at the end...you'll understand...

I wont respect the lenght also I know I'm bad !!! but I'm french...that's why...

As I want to do the tightrop...fall into cannon...stuck into cannon...fire...and little end joke...

voila...I started 4 hours ago...a little preview is coming...

EDIT : check last post for working links

Hi all, guess I'll be in for this one as well.

Story goes a little like this:....a sort of a hairy wolfman is seating on some sort of display, everything is very quiet, no one there to see the show, he feels sad and bored. suddenlly a over excited little furry dog enters the scene, jumping full of joy.. he spots the hairy guy and pauses waving his tail in happiness, just found a new friend. Runs into him and squeezes trough his legs like a cat looking for attention... the hairy guy doesnt quite know what to do...as he's about to scare the little inocent fella away, the little dog jumps and starts "shagging" his leg...the end

I hope I can find the time to work on this one..

good luck to everyone...
