Hi, everyone! I made a couple of sci-fi like structures in 3ds max using a script I wrote myself. What do you think ? It's generated geometry but I am happy with how it turned out:
Hi there,

I was working on this project since 5 weeks I don't know if it falls in here or the animation critique section. So if its wrong section to ask I'm sorry... This project includes modeling, motion capturing, 3d tracking, texturing and stuff however I feel like I'm missing something on compositing. It doesn't seem right to me so I just want to ask your valuable opinions about this. So if you can help me to improve and give me some tips to make it believable I would appreciate!
Thanks to everyone from now

Here is one still from the animation...
Hey guys,

I thought this would be a fun challenge, so I decided to have go. I picked the ace of diamonds as my card, and I spent a few hours making sketches in PS. A vast majority where rubbish, and I'm still not really liking my current composition. The whole thing was inspired by a Moroccan girl they call Ruby the Heart-stealer. Her real name is Karima El Mahroug, and shes most famous for her endeavors with then Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi.

Well here is what I came up with after a couple of hours. I liked the symmetrical composition, and the long line down the middle with the two V shaped for the chain and the dress. I'm going for a slightly illustrated look, but still somewhat realistic. I'm trying to place the jewel in the same place that It would be on a regular card design. Any thoughts/comments/crits on this would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Everyone,
This is where I'm going to track my progress on my current project, the MS-18E Kampfer.

When I saw this iteration of the MS-18E Kampfer Custom, (that's what I'm calling it) I had to model it.

A custom resin re-skined model, the original modeler is a guy that goes by the alias of LittleBoy. Not sure who he is IRL(I don't know Japanese) but I'm amazed by his work and I love his version. Here is a link to his work and my source of references.

The process of modeling strictly from reference images without orthographical views means this will take a lot longer for me to model. The roughing out process significantly longer as I've mainly just picked a piece, modeled some and moved to something else. I think ultimately this project will help me strengthen my eye and help me see more. I would say 90% of an artist efforts are spent in observation, if not more

I'm looking for critiques as I progress. Atm I'm still blocking out/ focusing on the feet and working my way up.
High Res wires
Thanks for looking!

It has been a long time since I last posted work.
This is the latest project I have been working on. I manly started it so I could learn Mari.
The eyes are a little off. Any ways, I would love to hear what people think and hoping for some critiques.
The model is from Ballistic's ESSENCE: The Face dvd.
I rendered this in Vray for 3ds max.
Thanks all.
Recently did my first head study for a school project and decided to turn him into something more visualy apealing. Still detailing as I go and trying to learn new ways and techniques as Zbrush is quite new to me and very daunting. I'm having most trouble with the Matcaps, Lightcaps and BPR rendering system.
This is what I have so far. Thx for taking a look. Greets

Well, here is a little background on me.(to help put this in perspective of how long I have been at 3D modeling)

I have taken/am finishing my first 3D modeling class this semester, and after just 14 weeks of instruction, we were given the choice to do anything we wanted for our final project.
This is my final project that is due on Wednesday(May 22nd) by 11:59pm PST at the latest! (BTW thats both modeled AND textured!)

I didn't really know what I wanted to make. I was thinking at first "Why not an angel statue?", but when I started looking for reference images I had the thought of "why not a cyber punk angel!?". So here I am, about a week into this project and still a lot of work to do.

IDK if I shoud go the route of cybernetically enhanced human, or robot (similar to this http://www.flickr.com/photos/teamevga/7761860030/ ).

I still need to fix the fingers as they are a little thin, and I don't know what to do about the hair and ears.

for the hair I was thinking about either wires with plugs at the end (might not look good if not done right though.) or short blue human like hair. (I don't know how to style the generated hair though, so it might just be a fuzz ball )

for the ears...IDK if I have the time to make human ears, I was thinking maybe a profile of an ear that looks like wire/metal mesh. (similar to a microphone)

I also plan to make a simple dress or something for her.(it is a school project after all, lol.)

This is my first fully flushed out (minus the ears) human head, and only my second human/soft surface model!

so here is what I have so far.
I'm pretty sure this is probably the place to post this because I'm looking for ctrits on this project, mostly a little help if anyone is willing.

I've been going threw a block the past few months that I want to get over so I decided to put myself in front of my tools again by digging up an old sculpt (about a year old). The Optimizing in Zbrush went pretty well and I have a decent topology at around 14k tris (7k quads) that’s for the most part animation ready. However I'm stuck at the texturing phase of my pipeline because I didn't really plan on doing anything with this character from the onset.

The consequence of having a finished product was an afterthought and all my concepts on the character are in b/w sketches leaving me scratching my head on what to do with him from here. I've sat in front of Photoshop for days trying to noodle something out but he's ground to a halt as everything I do makes him look like a poor choice of muddy colors.

I'm here to ask if anyone can help me out with some critiques and/or a few paint over variations?

I thought about asking people to kit bash this for me but I would much rather do it myself. Picking something up from the to-do pile and my block have made my muse a bit color blind so I could use a little help building a visual target to work towards.
